Lego fans from far and wide were treated to a plethora of wondrous creations at the Cardinia Brix event held over the weekend.
The event, presented by Southern Cros Brix, was held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre and returned for its fifth event.
Every year, they ask exhibitors to vote on their favourite display. With a high standard of creativity and intricate detail, it was a tough task to choose.
Best In Show, as voted by exhibitors, went to “The Wedding Dress” by Veronica Young.
There’s a reason why the dress ended up being displayed in The LEGO House in Denmark!
Second place went to Stephen Reynolds for his imaginative build called “Dragonlance” from the book, Dragons of Autumn Twilight.
Stephen based it upon page one from the now 40-year-old story.
Third place went to Darren Reid with “Thunderchild”.
Described by Darren as “HMAS Thunderchild engagement with Martian Tripod”, it took him two and a half weeks over a six-month period to build the Thunderchild.
There was also the People's Choice Award, as voted by the attendees, which went to Gary Barbour's 1980's city and train layout aptly named Barbourville.
